I qualified from Glasgow University in 1995. From there I headed to North Lancashire before settling in the East Midlands for 13 years- obtaining a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. I am interested in all aspects of veterinary surgery, especially orthopaedics and gastrointestinal surgery. An additional aspect of my work is in teaching part of the fourth-year undergraduate surgical course at the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science.
I joined Isabelle Vets in 2009 and progressed to become a Director of the Practice. My principal interest is in producing veterinary excellence and in overseeing the progression of the surgical side of the practice, which includes the application of the latest surgical techniques.
I use my spare time to look after my two lovely children as well as running and enjoying the outdoor delights of Guernsey life.
I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1999. After an initial spell in general veterinary practice, I moved into equine practice for 11 years before returning to Guernsey in 2012. I undertook additional equine training and have been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons with a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Dentistry.
My interests are veterinary dentistry, cardiology, equine medicine and orthopaedics. I am a Clinical Director of Isabelle Vets.
I spend my spare time with my own animals and my two teenage sons.
I joined Isabelle Vets in 2004 after qualifying in 2002 as a Veterinary Surgeon from Zurich University and after having worked in the Swiss Alps with predominantly farm animals. In Guernsey, I worked as a mixed practitioner until 2010 when my second daughter was born following which I took a break although still doing the occasional locum for Isabelle Vets. Since 2013 I am full-filling a part-time role doing small animal G.P. duties, mainly at our L’Islet branch. Having always been a cat owner I have a keen interest in feline behaviour. You may also see me walking our dog on L’Ancresse Common or chauffeuring my three children around.
I joined the team at Isabelle Vets as a mixed animal practitioner following my graduation from Glasgow University in 2018. Being a keen traveller and having a genuine interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine, I spent many months abroad whilst at university, spending time working with equids in Morocco, dogs in India and Bulgaria, cattle in New Zealand and even elephants in Sri Lanka. I moved over to Guernsey in August ’18 from my home in Argyll, Scotland. Coming from the rural West coast I’m used to the outdoor life and enjoy keeping active in my spare time, with a particular love for horse riding and cycling.
After growing up on the island, I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2013 and worked in Scotland for 7 years prior to relocating back to Guernsey in 2020. Whilst in Scotland I spent 2 years in a referral hospital undertaking a rotating and a surgical internship as well as spending 5 years in both general practice and emergency practice. This gave me a broad range of experience and during this time I was accredited the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, specialising in small animal surgery, and the Post-Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Professional Studies. I have a special interest in both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and love spending time under the bright lights in the operating theatre.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking, climbing and skiing, and you will most likely see me out and about with my Rhodesian Ridgeback.
I recently joined Isabelle Vets after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019 on their graduate entry scheme. Before this, I gained a degree in Animal Science from the University of Nottingham, which gave me a good foundation in husbandry and the animal production industry.
I am thrilled to be a mixed animal practitioner as I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine. I have a particular interest in exotics, both small and large. I’ve worked with a wildlife vet in South Africa but equally love treating small furries.
Coming from rural Yorkshire, I love the outdoor life, and my hobbies include hiking, skiing and travelling. I love a good ceilidh or reel too!

Veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants are by nature caring people and Isabelle Vets presently employs about a number of veterinary nurses and care assistants as part of our dedicated team.
I started working at Isabelle Vets in 2001 as a student nurse and qualified in 2008.
As Head nurse I am responsible for the nursing team and rotas and ensuring the day-to-day running of the hospital and surgical sites run smoothly, as well as working closely with the vets and other team members.
One of my main areas of expertise that I really am passionate about and enjoy are nurse clinics and being able to build good relationships with clients and their animals.
I have a love for dogs and rabbits and enjoy reading.
My spare time is spent with my husband, two daughters and our German Shepherd X dog called Rambo.
I started as a weekend assistant in 2002 while still at school and then became a full-time member of staff as an animal care assistant in 2004 prior to joining the veterinary nurse training scheme and becoming a qualified RVN in 2009. As a senior nurse in the Practice, I have several areas of responsibility principally as a clinical coach for our trainee nurses and I am the nurse who assists in most of the equine procedures that we undertake. I now divide my time by also acting as an Accounts Administrator, including responsibility for the Practice Pet Health Club, which helps clients spread the cost of routine treatments that aren’t covered by insurance. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my German Shepherd Storm and riding my horse, Bob.
After University I returned to Guernsey and while searching for that ideal job it was suggested that I try volunteering at the GSPCA and loved it. I volunteered for a year then worked there for a further four years working with a variety of animals, domestic and wildlife where I learnt about treatment, assessment and rehabilitation. Although I enjoyed my time at the GSPCA, I wanted to expand my knowledge and career in animal nursing. I joined Isabelle Vets in May 2017 to undertake my Veterinary Nurse training. I am delighted to have successfully completed my training in 2020 and am now a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have a bulldog named Frank, who is a regular patient and enjoys all of the attention.
I originally started with Isabelle Vets as a weekend assistant in 2005 before enrolling as a Student Veterinary Nurse. After qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2010 I became interested in rehabilitation and hydrotherapy and subsequently completed a Diploma in Canine Rehabilitation therapy and gained my Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy.
In 2018 I took a career break to look after my daughter and had my son. Four years later I am returning to Isabelle Vets where I am very excited to continue on my nursing and hydrotherapy journey.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and am a Brownie Leader. I have 9 chickens, 3 cats and 3 tortoises.
Having worked as a Veterinary Nurse since 2011 in mostly large referral hospitals in South Africa, coming to this little island has been a lovely change of pace for me.
I really enjoy exploring its beauty and history and have made lifelong friends here.
I studied veterinary nursing at the University of Pretoria from 2012 to 2013 and graduated in 2014. I worked from March 2014 at Bryanston Veterinary Hospital and then moved on to Fourways Veterinary Hospital, both of which are specialists and referral centres, as an after-hours nurse until January 2021, when I started work as a general nurse at Rivonia village vet clinic.
I then moved to Guernsey to work at Isabelle Vets, which has been, without a doubt, an exciting move for me and where I will be sharpening my skills as a veterinary nurse.
Since leaving sixth form I have always loved working with animals and have strived to put their welfare first. While studying for my BSc in Veterinary Nursing Science from Hartpury University I worked part-time at a boarding kennels and cattery in Gloucester. My placement was at a busy veterinary hospital in Bristol where I continued as an out-of-hours emergency nurse for the rest of my studies. After graduating, I transferred to a more varied role covering both a hospital as well as small branches around Somerset. In 2023 I moved to Guernsey for the next step in my career.

I have always had a passion for working with animals and spend most of my time with them when at home.
As well as spending time with these animals and competing with my horse Bella, I also compete locally and overseas in athletics where I have specialised in hurdles.

I joined Isabelle Vets in July 2021, having previously held positions in trust, education and law. I was looking for a change in career and am fortunate to have been given the responsibility of Laboratory Technician under training.
The role is very varied and rewarding and keeps me on my toes! I have learned so much, and I am proud to be part of such a dedicated team. Being a Guernsey girl, my free time is spent enjoying long walks on our island’s beautiful cliffs and coastal paths whilst catching up with friends.
There is a well-known quote, “Never work with children or animals”, but I’ve done both and would thoroughly recommend it!
I joined Isabelle Vets in November 2022 as a Veterinary Care Assistant after having worked for the States of Guernsey for 8 years, making this a change of pace for sure. I started my training as a Student Veterinary Nurse in January 2023 to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
I have always had a passion for animal care starting from a young age and I have also obtained experience whilst volunteering at the GSPCA. Growing up, my family home was filled with many different animals including dogs, cats, chinchillas, terrapins etc.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends and taking my dog Barney for adventures around Guernsey or to Herm, Sark or Alderney on my boat.
I joined Isabelle Vets in September 2023 as a Veterinary Care Assistant then started my training as a Student Veterinary Nurse with Isabelle Vets’ in-house training scheme. After that, I hope to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
My love for animals stems from a young age as I have always grown up with animals, mainly cats. Having animals around has always brightened my day as they all have their own characteristics, and none are the same. So, being able to work with them is a dream come true.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking photos and sometimes painting.
I joined Route Isabelle February 2022 as a Veterinary Care Assistant. I have 5 years experience working as an animal care assistant at The GSPCA mainly involved within the wildlife hospital department, I learnt a huge amount and enjoyed my time at the shelter, but I wanted to expand my knowledge and experience new challenges.
I have two passions in life, animals and art. It was only when I was travelling around Australia, I knew that I wanted to work with animals. I have always loved all creatures big and small but being around so much nature I just knew this was the path I wanted to choose with my career.
In my spare time I love to paint local wildlife, I enjoy sea swimming and chilling out with my old cat Sylvia and my beautiful rabbits, Archie, Annabelle, Magort, Louis, Ella, Earl and Grey.
I started working at Isabelle Vets in April 2021 after completing my degree and masters in Equine Science at university. Prior to this, I worked as an LSA at a college in the UK and have completed some part-time client-based roles while studying.
I have always loved animals, and after completing some part-time work at Isabelle Vets, I was excited to come back as a full-time Receptionist.
I started to develop an interest in hydrotherapy while at university, and this grew when my own dog had to have hydrotherapy. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to shadow the current Hydrotherapist on some cases and was interested in learning more. I was then given the opportunity to train to become a Hydrotherapist in November 2022 and also went away in January 2023 to complete the practical side of the training. I completed this course and received my Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy in August 2023. I am very excited to begin this new journey within Isabelle Vets.
Outside of work, I love walking with my German Shepherd Jax, horse riding and spending time with my cat Thor, who are well and truly spoilt.
I joined Isabelle Vets in October 2023 after looking for a change in career. I am pleased to have made the change and enjoy the variation of duties that being a VCA brings with it.

Veterinary receptionists are the first port of call for our clients and a hugely important part of our quality of service, being the first person you meet when you visit us or call us. Our reception team are an important part of our dedicated team, helping us to run smoothly and efficiently.
I have spent the last few years working as a Legal Secretary.
I joined the practice as a Receptionist in July 2021 and was thrilled to be promoted to Senior Receptionist from January 2024.
In my spare time I love spending time with my husband, son and Cavachon Clio. I also volunteer at The Salvation Army working with children.
I have worked at Isabelle Vets since 1994 as a receptionist. I order the food and so am responsible for this area of stock management. I am going to be playing a prominent reception role at the new Isabelle Vets L’Islet, surgery. I have been involved in the horse and dog community since a child and enjoy and support my daughter’s equine activities.
I joined Isabelle Vets in April 2016 and enjoy meeting the pets and their owners. I have an outgoing personality and try to make visiting the Practice a positive and pleasant experience. I have three rescue pets, two cats, Harley and Cheyenne and a hamster. I like to support local animal events to raise money and awareness for their cause. Seafront Sunday is an example.
Previous to starting at Isabelle Vets, I worked in the travel industry for 15 years as a sales and customer service agent in both leisure and business travel.
I love animals and look forward to meeting and greeting pets and their owners and assisting them however I can. I adore miniature dachshunds and hope to get one in the not-too distant future. I also love alpacas and goats but do not have the space!
I joined Isabelle Vets in March 2022 as a Receptionist at L’Islet.
Having worked in a busy pharmacy for the past 22 years, I am used to helping and caring for people. I am looking forward to meeting clients and their pets and helping them in the best way I can.
I am very lucky to have grown up surrounded by my own animals, and each and every one of them has played a huge role in my life.
I spend all of my time outside of work with my horse Percy, my pony Goose and my border terrier Toby
I joined the reception team at Isabelle Vets in June 2023, having previously worked within the travel & tourism industry for the past ten years. This is an excellent opportunity for me to combine my passion for delivering good customer service and my love for animals.
I have always loved animals and have two cats, Gizo and George. I have a keen love and interest for ocean and marine life. I like swimming and snorkelling, and I have been fortunate to have been scuba diving in Cuba and Thailand. I hope one day to complete a scuba diving PADI course so I can go and explore more of the ocean in beautiful countries around the world.
Outside of work, I enjoy starting various craft projects, and I am part of a Skittles team in the winter league.
I starting working as a Receptionist at Isabelle Vets in July 2023.
Previously, I worked as a Pharmacy Technician and more recently as a Carer for People living with Dementia. I am used to helping and caring for others and am looking forward to meeting clients and doing my best to help them and their pets.
I grew up surrounded by our family pets and have a love for all animals. I enjoy all aspects of caring for my own animals and love spending time with and walking my West Highland White Terrier, Snowball along with exercising and hacking my ponies Holly, Will and Rosie.
I joined Isabelle Vets in February 2024 following a history of roles in customer service. I love animals and have owned dogs and horses from a very early age. Outside of work I can be found walking my 2 Labradors, or supporting and helping my daughters with their dressage horses. In rare moments of spare time I enjoy baking and floristry.

I am a long-term member of the Reception team mostly based at the Route Isabelle Surgery. As a member of the team for of over ten years, I know many of our clients and can give broad information and advice on the many subjects that make the Practice ‘tick’. My principal hobby is dog showing, and I have shown my Papillions and Glen of Imaal Terrier at Crufts. I would like to think that my knowledge on dog breeds and showing is of help and importance to our clients.
Our Clinical Directors, Doreen Munn-Litten and Sarah-Jane Heathcote, are responsible for the overall administration of the Isabelle Vets, with the help of our administrators, an integral part of our dedicated team.
I have been working at Isabelle Vets since February 2nd 2015 and was promoted to Head Receptionist in January 2023. There are no words for how much I have enjoyed my position on reception, but since January 2024, I have had the opportunity to become Practice Co-Ordinator, which will become Practice Manager in the future. I still enjoy engaging in conversation with both humans and animals alike. In my spare time, I have my own cockapoo, Murphy, who keeps me on my toes with his mischievous nature, so if I am not entertaining him, I will be at home listening to music, playing games or chatting with friends.
I started my veterinary nursing training in 1978 at a mixed practice in Winchester where I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
In 1986 I moved to Cambridge and spent two years working as a theatre nurse at the University helping to train vet students in theatre technique. In 2003 I moved to Guernsey and the following year started as a nurse at Isabelle Vets.
I now have a part-time role in charge of stock control and medicines as well as items that are used on a daily basis within the Practice.
We have twice weekly deliveries from our wholesaler; occasionally these can be disrupted due to bad weather in the UK or rough seas in the Channel. This order is carried out electronically using an iPad, but I also order a few medicines from our local pharmacy.
Other duties include routine date checking and keeping the prep-room cupboards well stocked for the nurses.
I started working at Isabelle Vets in December 1993 as part of the reception team. I moved over to veterinary nursing in 1995 and acquired my veterinary nurse qualification in 1999. I have gained certificates in animal nutrition through Hills pet food and became a pet health counsellor through Royal Canin.
In 2002 I gained my assessor status which enabled me to assist in the training of student veterinary nurses.
In 2005 I undertook a pharmacology course which was completed in 2007 via correspondence with the Lynwood school of veterinary nursing.
In 2015 I took on a part-time role in the administrative side and currently share this role with veterinary nursing. I have a responsibility for pet insurance. Cats are my thing!
I was born and brought up in Guernsey (my maiden name was Le Page), attending St Saviours Primary School and Ladies’ College. I graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 1985 and went to work in a small animal practice in Folkestone. I was delighted to move back to Guernsey in the summer of 1994 with my husband and two children, and I started work at Isabelle Vets the following January. I worked only with small animals – dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs etc and I have loved getting to know clients and their pets.
Over the last 10 years or so I have been part of the administration team in the practice, and from January 2021 this will be my role in the practice, I will no longer be doing any clinical work. Although I will miss seeing clients, I am looking forward to this new challenge; I will be processing insurance claims, overseeing health and safety and the Practice Standards scheme, and undertaking several other tasks that support the running of the practice and our role in the community.
I studied Veterinary Nursing at The Royal Veterinary College, University of London and qualified in 2008. I joined Isabelle Vets as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from 2008 until 2014. In 2014, I had a career change and went into an administration role in healthcare. I re-joined the team at Isabelle Vets in administration in 2022, and I input the vet’s rota into the system.
I am delighted to have become a member of the Isabelle Vets Team as an accounts administrator. I have over 20 years of experience in administration, and I am looking forward to the new role and getting to know the clients.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my active family; we enjoy the outdoors, cycling, sup boarding, spending time on our boat and going for long walks with our dog Flash. It’s also nice at the end of the day to chill out at home with our cats, Bella & Tigger.
